Biography

Iyka joined the firm in 2024 and is currently an Associate in the firm’s Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution department, where she specialises in Trusts, Wills, Probate and Administration. Iyka is a qualified mediator with the International Mediation Institute. 

Prior to joining the firm, she interned at the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court in Saint Lucia as a Judicial Research Assistant, and with magic circle firm, Linklaters LLP. 

Iyka obtained the Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School where she secured the Dorcas White Prize and Peter McDonald Prize for academic excellence. She also served on the executive of the Student Association and formed part of the Law School’s winning team at the Caribbean Court of Justice International Mooting Competition in 2022.

She holds a Bachelor of Law degree with First Class Honours from the University of the West Indies and was named Valedictorian of the graduating class 2020/2021. Whilst at UWI, she made history as the school’s first female hall chairperson of the Sherlock Hall. Iyka also served on numerous executives, most notably, on the board of the Vice Chancellor’s Ambassadors.

She has a passion and a deep founded love for theatre arts and volunteerism.
